Waiting...

When? When are you coming? Will you be late? When will we finish this? When will this end? When will I get a job? When will I meet the perfect one? When will I see you a grown up? When and when?

We're all asking when... We're all always waiting... Waiting for something to happen, for someone to appear, for surroundings to change, for future...
Waiting and always expecting...
Expecting from our parents, our children, ourselves and even from God...
And unfortunately waiting and expecting always lead to disappointments...
We get disappointed from our parents cause they don't do what we want, from our children cause they don't become what we wish, from ourselves cause we still make the same mistakes, from our surroundings cause they never change, and even from God cause He claims He has a plan different from ours...

Christmas time is the waiting time... But from more than 2000 years, what people were waiting for wasn't exactly what they got and again they were disappointed...
Joseph was waiting to marry Mary, Mary was waiting for a marriage and even when she believed, she never waited for a crucified son...
The three wisemen waited for the king of kings, the shepherds waited for a huge place... Israel waited for a Jewish king as David who will tier up the skies and come to save them...
But, as everyone of us, they were all disappointed...

The only one who wasn't and is never disappointed is God... Cause simply God is never waiting for something from us... He's waiting US...
He wasn't waiting for Mary's "yes", He waited for her giving all... He wasn't waiting for Peter's faith to walk on water, He waited Peter... The father wasn't waiting for his son's apology, he waited his son...

We are always waiting for Christmas season but in fact God is always waiting for us...
Shall we hear his knock on the door of our hearts and open?
